Theres no point in a refund if they just added some sort of preview like the dyes. I'd say that'd be a more efficient way of doing it.

maybe if u have to return it in within 10-30 minutes or else you can't...

Double crafting sucks, sure.
But....you want to return your armor because you don't like the look, despite the fact that if you just go to some towns you will 99% of the time find the armor set you are looking for and se it ingame.

Your red faces and lack of maturity to deal with the fact that people don't agree with you is making me /notsign on principle alone.

I seriously doubt it! You're not coming off as remarkably mature and you really just need to check what your buying before you buy it.
I would suggest a mod have a quiet word with this player and mention the definition of spam and how its not allowed!

Not read all the replies here so this may have been said b4 but...
Simple preview window? like with dye?
So you can see how your char is going to look with the armour on before you buy it.

XXXD. No. Never.
I would agree with armor preview, but never with refunds. They are customized, once made, they are useless for the crafters.

Why not just include a way to see how the armor would look on you before you buy it?

/notsigned, but I'd definitely like to see a preview of my character in the armor before I buy. I bought a new chest piece for my warrior last month and it looked absolutely hideous on her. I just salvaged what I could from it and tossed it.
After all we get to try on clothes in the store before we buy.

Is it the user fault you lag and accidentally buy the same armor twice uhh no.
And what is the talk with IRL comparison with gw armor, in real life if you buy something you dont like uhh let me see refund? All that matters in the end if the user is happy with the armor if no then just add the simple refund, and with the hom abuse I like that idea posted early about the armor must be dedicated so it can be shown at the hom

If you can get a refund there is no point in buying armor at all. You can just screenshot your chara in all the armors, return the money and then see what fits your chara perfectly and whatever it is you want. It's exactly because you can't be sure what it will look like on your char that makes it exciting and challenging in a way. You have to decide what you want and live with it. The whole point is that you can't go back on your initial decision. We already have a wiki which is a great source of information and pictures. Not all games even have that let alone choise between armor looks.
I just bought my para vabbian armor because I thought it would be pretty and it just doesn't look good on my para AT ALL. But that's my loss and I accept it. I'm always lagging and I have a pretty crappy GFX card to boot(always playing on worst settings) and if I ever buy expensive armor like FoW I really take my time with the clicks. I also once bought the 15k glad's helm for my warrior instead of 15k templars and I never noticed it until months later. It was totally my own fault and I didn't complain. I just salvaged it and bought a new one. I think it's a fun story to tell when you can honestly say you accidentally crafter 2 pairs of fow pants.
Now the confirmation button I have no opinion on but too much clicking gets on my nerves and it isn't even good usability. Like the rare material trading system. So you have to be careful where to use confirmation and where to not. Imho a game's most important asset is balance which means everything shouldn't be made "easy" to get and see nor publicly "available". It's prestigious because you CAN'T preview it but can only glimpse at it in outposts and screenies. I'm not sure wheter to agree that if you had all the mats and cash you could then preview it.

Seriously though.. why need a refund?
All armour (except maybe Obsidian) is stupidly easy to save up for. If you're that much of a skin-flint then stop being so cheap. We have guildwiki.net too for screen shots of armour so you have no excuse to say you couldn't check before hand.
This really is just the cheap-skates being... cheap!

Unlocking them to being able to craft them again later on for less gold: Yes.
Refund of any armor: Never. They are customized for you. A Crafter would never pay you for the few gold pieces or materials youcouls salvage them.

Why did you make 2 posts of the same thing?
Anyway, return it then where is the timer? Anet gonna add another timer for this? Too complicated.
What I have in mind is that you can TRY out the armor itself. If you like it, confirm and pay. Else it will be just to show (Just as the one when you press "I".) But again, issues arise is that how about the mix combo of armor. I don't know lol! Don't be cheap I guess?

The solution to this problem is a preview window, its a wonder why ArenaNet hadn't remedy this interface. I certainly hope GW2 has greater flexibility when it comes to fashioning armor to your character.
The notion of refunds is ridiculously anti-definite that a player can literally spend the whole game dealing with the armor crafter and never go out and battle. If you picked the wrong armor, its your own fault for not writing notes yourself.
